Water Leaks Can’t Hide From Us. No matter how big or small, John Moore will find and repair them.

Call John Moore at 877-730-2525 and schedule a licensed plumber to inspect, diagnose and fix your water leak problem.

Tracking down a water leak can be a tricky thing. Leaks have a pesky way of revealing themselves through damage to your walls, flooring, cabinetry and even furniture. And to make matters worse, the source of the leak may be far from the water damage you see.

If you suspect a leak, large or small, it’s time to call in John Moore’s certified plumbers. Our experienced pros arrive ready to trace your leak to its source and repair it quickly before more costly issues arise.

Where Can a Water Leak Occur?

Plumbing lines travel throughout the walls and floors of your home. Leaks can occur just about anywhere along the lines. Roofing or foundation issues can also be the cause. No matter the source, the biggest problem with leaks is that they involve water and water travels— fast. So the spot you see on the ceiling or the loose tile you find on the floor may be far from the actual leak itself.

Most leaks start small and reveal themselves slowly, but major leaks are not as subtle. Pooling water, large spots on the ceiling, or the sound of water trickling within walls can signal catastrophic failure of pipes or the water heater. Call John Moore immediately if you experience these or any of the following issues to prevent costly damage. By working with John Moore, you can access a full range of home solutions including water heater services and water damage services to save you time and the hassle of working with multiple contractors.

To spot leaks working behind the scenes, look for:

Broken Or Lifting Tiles

Leaking water runs to the lowest spot and often works its way in between floor tiles and sub-flooring. Loose or cracked tiles can signal a leak in nearby plumbing in bathrooms, specifically around the toilet and shower, and in the kitchen sink and bar areas.

Peeling Baseboards and Buckled Flooring

Wooden baseboards and flooring have tell-tale ways to signal leaks. Water swells wood, so wood floors quickly lift and buckle, and baseboard paint peels to reveal rotting wood underneath. These problems often indicate a leak that runs through the wall and into the flooring.

Shower Doors

Shower doors don’t expand when exposed to water like the underlying framing, so changes to the way your door closes, sticking or not closing at all, can signal a water leak in bathroom plumbing affecting the shower framing or even flooring.

Cracked and Moldy Grout

Cracked, moldy grout can both signal and be the cause of water leaks and damage. Cracked grout in the shower and bath allows water to migrate behind tile and damage underlying surfaces. Cracked and moldy grout can also signal a leak behind the tiled area, working its way up. Either way, it’s not something to ignore since damage increases with each use and can lead to dangerous mold growth.

David Lawrence with John Moore managed the team and took care of my home during the complete repiping of my home. He treated my home with loving care, and responded to me so quickly. He recognized problems, and contacted me in regards to issues as he discovered me, and texted me every day when he arrived and when he left. He showed up on a Saturday when I was freaking out, and he took care of all the small issues that arise when you have a contractor lead.
