Here’s what to expect with a 72-Hour Shower Conversion:
Tub-to-shower and shower-to-shower conversion
Scope:
This conversion will remove an existing shower and install a standard sized shower with 84" walls.
Measure:
One week prior to beginning work, a marble measure is scheduled and performed.
Day One:
- Tub and/or shower walls are removed down to the studs.
- The plumbing drain is positioned.
- Other plumbing revisions are completed, as necessary.
- Moisture rated backer board is installed.
Day Two:
- Shower wall panels are installed.
- Plumbing fixture trim is installed.
Day Three:
- Final inspections and clean-up.
Important:
- If standard cultured marble or acrylic is being removed, the drain location will fit a standard cultured marble shower pan and a two day conversion is possible.
- If tile is being removed and the shower drain is not in a standard location the plumber must relocate the drain per the cultured marble shower pan specification and may extend the time schedule.
- Any shower not a "standard shower size" option will be considered custom and not guaranteed in 72 hours.
- Please wait 24 hours after installation before using shower.
